Student Management
Teck Ghee Primary School's approach towards student management and discipline
Our Approach to Discipline and Hurtful Behaviour
Discipline is an educative process that helps students understand the consequences of their actions and learn to make better choices. The school takes a firm and consistent stance against all forms of hurtful behaviour—from one-off insensitive acts to persistent and intentional acts of bullying or physical violence—while remaining committed to an educative and restorative approach.
The school will consider the nature and severity of each incident when determining the appropriate disciplinary consequences, which may be applied individually or in combination. Students and their parents will be engaged as part of this process. Alongside appropriate consequences, students will be given structured opportunities to reflect, take responsibility, repair the harm caused and develop the skills needed to make better choices.

Get in Touch
TGPS takes pride in building strong relationships with our stakeholders. We provide parents and students with various communication channels, including the student handbook, face-to-face conversations, telephone calls and email correspondence. From 2027, an online feedback form will also be available, giving TGStars and parents an additional avenue to contact the school.
